The Nutmeg Home Assistance Process

To be certain your loved one will be matched with the most appropriate caregiver, we choose our caregivers based on our own strict and thorough requirements. Our process is focused on discovering your loved one’s specialized needs, and selecting the caregiver with the complementary skills required to ensure your loved one’s needs are met satisfactorily.

 Our loved one matching process is as follows:

  • Set up our complimentary, initial in-home interview.
  • We will meet with you and your family to determine what is best for your loved one. We will discuss:
    • Your family's specific needs and expectations
    • Your loved one’s daily schedule
    • Rates and payment methods
  • We select suitable candidates.
  • You meet and interview them.
  • You pick the person you like best.
  • We follow up with you to ensure you’re satisfied with your caregiver or housekeeper.
  • You pay a referral fee to Nutmeg Home Assistance.

Caregiver Selection Process

  • Initial screening:
    • Resume and Application review process
    • Two phone call interviews 
  • In-person interview for qualified candidates:
    • At interviewee’s home - includes observation of housing and living matters, so as to see the caregiver in action.
  • Qualify caregiver for specific home care positions
    • Caregiver and Client interview
    • After final approval from Client, caregiver is officially matched with client’s loved one.
